This year, two major projects concerning the development and production of new certified reference materials have been completed at the Łukasiewicz – IMN Center of Analytical Chemistry. CRMs produced within the projects have been included in the scope of our accreditation under the certificate number RM 006.
Project from Polish-Norwegian funds with the acronym SILREF, implemented in a consortium with the Norwegian company ELKEM. Within this project, 9 new CRMs were produced for three different types of silicon materials: silicon (Si-1, Si-2), silica fume (Si-SF-1, Si-SF-2, Si-SF-3) and magnesium ferrosilicon alloy (Si-FSM-1, Si-FSM-2, Si-FSM-3, Si-FSM-4). CRMs are in the form of powders.
LIDER project with the acronym NonFerrousCRMs. As part of this project, new CRMs were created for copper alloys (for analyzing copper scrap) – 6 CRMs (CCD1, CCD2, CCD3, CCD4, CCD5, CCD6), for zinc alloy with increased Al and Mg content (ZO1) and for refined lead (PR1). CRMs are in the form of cylinders with a diameter of 40 mm.
